Reporting copyright infringement
If you believe content on TMS infringes your copyright, submit a report via the copyright report form or email copyright@themusicstandard.com.
Required information
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
- Identification of the material on TMS that is claimed to infringe, with enough detail for us to locate it.
- Reporter contact information: name, email, optional phone, and rights-owner organization where applicable.
- A good-faith statement that the use is not authorized by the rights owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and that the reporter is authorized to act on the rights owner's behalf.
- A typed signature of the reporter.
Takedown process
- Reports are triaged by TMS operators and may result in delivery suspension, takedown requests to DSPs, or removal of the content.
- Audit logs are written for every action taken on a report.
Counter-notice (placeholder)
Users whose content has been removed may submit a counter-notice. Counter-notice handling is a placeholder until finalized with counsel; contact copyright@themusicstandard.com for now.
Repeat infringer policy
TMS will terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are repeat infringers.
